NRSC Names Its Political Director

Patrick Davis has been named the political director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee for the 2004 election cycle, according to GOP sources.

Davis served as Midwest region political director in the 2000 and 2002 cycles, overseeing races in Minnesota, Colorado and South Dakota, among others. He has also served as executive director of the South Dakota Republican Party.

Davis replaces Chris LaCivita in the post. He is joined at the NRSC by new Executive Director Jay Timmons and Communications Director Dan Allen, a holdover from the last cycle. Sen. George Allen (Va.) chairs the committee.
