In an effort to improve H Street’s commercial appeal, the H Street Main Street Design and Promotions committees will kick off a series of cleanups for the historic corridor Saturday.

The cleanups, which will be held the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon, will initially focus on basic street cleaning, before progressing to graffiti removal and other projects.

Interested individuals should meet at the H Street Main Street office at 961 H St. NE. Ten sets of gloves and other implements will be provided, but participants are asked to bring a broom or shovel if possible.
