Look, up in the Sky!

It’s not a bird or a plane (or Superman, of course) passing above the Capitol in this undated photo. It’s a nonrigid airship, a type of dirigible that was simple in construction and very light (it’s also known as a zeppelin, after the Zeppelin Co. that produced many of the airships). This particular zeppelin is believed to be drawn on the photograph.
