Missouri: Ice Storms Put the Freeze on Fundraiser for Barnes

Wicked Midwestern ice storms forced former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes (D) to cancel a fundraiser Tuesday.

Barnes, who is hoping to upset four-term Rep. Sam Graves (R) next year, was scheduled to pass the hat in St. Louis before inclement weather canceled flights at the Kansas City airport Tuesday morning.

Going into the fourth quarter of the year, Graves had $750,000 in the bank, roughly $175,000 more than Barnes.
