Olson to Twitter on Election Day

Former Senate aide Pete Olson (R), who appears well-positioned to oust Rep. Nick Lampson (D-Texas), will be Twittering his Election Day activities, his campaign announced this morning.

Olson, whose victory would likely be one of the few House Republican bright spots to emerge from today’s elections, plans to spend his day traveling throughout the suburban Houston 22nd district.

He will Twitter about his activities and post photographs at his Twitter site, www.twitter.com/peteolson.

Twittering is akin to blogging or instant messaging and is used by individuals to post short updates about their daily activities. It has been embraced this election cycle by many political candidates.

The 22nd district is solid conservative territory formerly held by then-Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas). Lampson has been one of the GOP’s top House targets this cycle.
