Heard on the Hill: Rep. Sherman Welcomes Daughter

Break out the cigars: The first Congressional baby of 2009 has arrived.

Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) and his wife, Lisa, welcomed a baby girl Wednesday night.

Molly Hannah Sherman was born at 11:35 p.m. at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., weighing slightly more than 7 pounds and measuring 20.5 inches, a Sherman spokesman confirmed to HOH.

It is the first child for the couple, who married in December 2006.
