Franken Bonds With Press at Inauguration

Democrat Al Franken, who is still awaiting resolution of his Senate race in Minnesota, is attending the inauguration. But the would-be Senator is holding an orange ticket and is seated behind the press corps.

Asked whether he was disappointed not to be seated with other Senators, Franken said he was OK because he had decent tickets.

Franken said he expects to be seated in the Senate soon.

“I think it’ll be three to four weeks,” said Franken, who was dressed warmly for the event, donning a Russian-style hat he had purchased on a visit to St. Petersburg, Russia.
