Colorado: Perlmutter to Hit the Slopes for Fundraiser

Rep. Ed Perlmutter is hitting the slopes to raise campaign cash. The two-term Democrat will host a ski weekend Thursday through Sunday in Vail to raise funds for his re-election campaign.

The three-day weekend costs guests $5,000 per political action committee or $4,800 per person to sponsor, or $2,500 per political action committee or $2,400 per person to attend. Lodging and ski rental costs are not included, although the Congressman will host a couple of private events throughout the weekend.

Although Vail is not in his district, an aide confirmed the Congressman is a avid and able skier.

Perlmutter was elected in 2006 following the retirement of Rep. Bob Beauprez (R), who stepped down to run for governor.
