Retail Industry Leaders Association Adds Two Lobbyists

The Retail Industry Leaders Association is expanding its lobbying footprint, adding John Emling and Jim Neill to its roster. Emling joins the trade group after serving in the Bush White House as deputy assistant overseeing the Senate legislative affairs team. He will manage RILA’s federal lobbying and political outreach team. Emling is also a former legislative affairs manager for the National Federation of Independent Business and was chief of staff to House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.). Neill, who formerly worked at the National Association of Manufacturers, comes on as vice president for product safety. Neill will oversee the new RILA/British Retail Consortium global safety standard for consumer products.
