Locke Installed as Commerce Secretary

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed former Washington Gov. Gary Locke (D) as Commerce secretary by unanimous consent.

Locke was named to the post after President Barack Obama’s first pick, Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), withdrew his nomination.

Locke also passed out of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee unanimously.
