McConnell Meets With Netanyahu

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), along with a handful of GOP colleagues, met with newly installed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Ehud Barak during a Congressional delegation trip to the Middle East during the Easter recess.

Republican Sens. Saxby Chambliss (Ga.), John Barrasso (Wyo.), James Risch (Idaho) and McConnell left Saturday for the trip, during which Members will “conduct official meetings with government officials regarding political, economic and military/security issues affecting bilateral relations,— according to a press release. The group is also slated to visit military personnel.
