New Hampshire: Potential GOP Senate Recruit Airs TV Ad

Businessman Fred Tausch (R) has launched a television advertisement on behalf of his new advocacy group, STEWARD of Prosperity.

New Hampshire Republicans say Tausch has an interest in challenging Rep. Paul Hodes (D) in the 2010 open Senate race, although the businessman has yet to publicly declare a campaign. With Hodes all but certain to be Democrats’ nominee, Republicans have attempted recently to recruit Attorney General Kelly Ayotte to run.

Tausch’s 30-second spot, “Taxpayers First,— was produced by SRCP Media.

“I’m Fred Tausch. I’m a fiscal conservative and a small businessman,— Tausch said in the spot. “Like you, I’m tired of the politicians in Washington wasting taxpayers’ money. That’s why I started STEWARD of Prosperity, a grass-roots organization committed to fiscal discipline. Thousands of residents have already joined us. Our agenda? More accountability and transparency. Stop the bailouts. No more special giveaways. It’s time taxpayers came first.—
