Florida: Race Against Kosmas Attracts More Interest

State Rep. Dorothy Hukill (R) said Friday that she’s close to making a decision on whether she’ll challenge freshman Rep. Suzanne Kosmas (D) in the east central 24th district.

Kosmas is already facing a challenge from Winter Park City Commissioner Karen Diebel (R), who has been highly touted by national party officials.

Hukill, a lawyer and former mayor of Port Orange, said she is likely to make an announcement sometime after the July Fourth holiday.

Hukill was in Washington, D.C., earlier this month meeting with GOP officials including the National Republican Congressional Committee.
