Police Investigating Threatening Calls to King

Capitol Police officers are investigating threatening calls made to Rep. Peter King’s office after the New York Republican railed against the media’s coverage of Michael Jackson’s death. In a recent YouTube video, King called Jackson a “lowlife— and complained that soldiers in Iraq don’t get as much recognition.“This guy was a pervert. He was a child molester. He was a pedophile,— he says in the video. “And to be giving this much coverage to him day in and day out, what does it say about us as a country?—The video went viral, and calls have been pouring into King’s office ever since — ranging from positive to obscene.A spokesman for King said Tuesday that the office has gotten “several threatening messages and turned them over to police.— He wouldn’t specify on the content of the messages.Capitol Police similarly refrained from giving any details, citing a policy to not discuss “ongoing investigations.—
