Nation: DCCC Continues Recess Radio Ad Push

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee plans to run radio advertisements targeting several Republicans on specific issues as part of their recess ad blitz.

Radio advertisements will target GOP Reps. Michele Bachmann (Minn.), Anh “Joseph— Cao (La.), Charlie Dent (Pa.), Dan Lungren (Calif.), Thaddeus McCotter (Mich.), Erik Paulsen (Minn.), Dave Reichert (Wash.) and Patrick Tiberi (Ohio).

According to a sample provided by the DCCC, Dent will be targeted with 60-second health care radio ads run frequently enough to saturate the market.

“Health care bills. Every year, the cost goes higher … making it harder to make ends meet,— says an announcer in the ad targeting Dent. “But year after year, Congressman Charlie Dent opposed reforms to make health care more affordable.—

Also during its recess push, the DCCC will run automated calls in the districts of 25 targeted GOP Members, in addition to other grass-roots activities.
