Several Lawmakers Expected to Attend Kennedy Funeral

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will lead a Congressional delegation to Boston on Saturday for the funeral of Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), aides said late Wednesday.Although details of the delegation were still being worked out, aides in both parties said a number of lawmakers, including members of both leadership teams as well as rank-and-file Members, will attend the funeral.Kennedy, in his 47th year in the Senate, died Tuesday night at the age of 77.With Congress in recess and Members in their home states or on trips abroad, Democratic and Republican leadership aides spent much of Wednesday trying to work out travel arrangements for lawmakers who wish to attend the funeral, those aides said.
