Smith Released From Hospital Following Collapsed Lung

Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) was released from the hospital on Sunday after suffering a collapsed lung last week, his spokesman said.Smith, 44, reportedly felt a pain in his side Thursday and was taken to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. Doctors discovered his condition — result of a congenital weakness unknown to Smith — and reinflated the lung that night.Smith spokesman Michael Amato said the lawmaker “is looking forward to getting back to work this week.—
