Longworth Reopened After Morning Evacuation

Updated: 10:42 a.m.Capitol Police evacuated the Longworth House Office Building on Wednesday morning for several minutes after the building’s fire alarm sounded. The building was reopened around 10:30 a.m.Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said construction work set off the alarm and investigators found no evidence of smoke or fire.
