Health Care Reform Opponents Launch New Ad Campaign

Business groups opposed to the Senate health care bill are continuing to press Congress to start over on health care reform. Two coalitions made up of 186 associations are launching a national cable television ad buy in nine states.The coalitions — Employers for a Healthy Economy and Start Over! — are scheduled to run ads in Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Nebraska, North Dakota and Virginia for the next several weeks.“Families across the country are struggling to make ends meet,— said Blair Latoff, communications manager for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a coalition spokeswoman. “Employers for a Healthy Economy is committed to ensuring that Congress understands that legislation filled with billions of dollars in new spending will only increase health care costs for generations to come.—
