The White House is losing one of its top advisers, Sarah Feinberg, to Bloomberg next month, the company announced Wednesday.

Feinberg, who serves as special assistant to the president and senior adviser to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, will lead Bloomberg’s communication efforts in Washington, D.C. She will also assume a senior leadership position in a new division focused on the business implications of government action and public policy.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Bloomberg at such an exciting time for the company. As Bloomberg expands its presence in Washington and prepares to launch its government information division, I’m looking forward to being a part of an organization with such an impressive record of innovation and entrepreneurship,” Feinberg said.

Feinberg has worked for the Obama administration since its inception. Prior to serving in the White House, Feinberg was communications director for the House Democratic Caucus and press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She was also press secretary for former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.).
