HOH’s One-Minute Recess: And Bingo Was His Name-O

Senate Democrats put their own partisan spin on the beloved parlor game Bingo this week — but instead of marking letters and numbers, Republican Talking Point Bingo directs players to mark their “LUNTZ” card whenever they hear talking points about the financial reform effort coined by Republican consultant Frank Luntz and other GOPers.

Unveiled by the Senate Democratic Communications Center, the card is clearly a Democratic messaging effort, as it includes talking points such as “Carve Out Lobbyist Loopholes” and “Stand Up for Special Interests” in its grid.

“[W]e want to make sure that the American people know why they are using misleading words and phrases to kill Wall Street accountability legislation,” SDCC spokeswoman Regan Lachapelle said in a press release. “We find ‘Republican Talking Point Bingo’ to be pretty entertaining but we’d rather Republicans stop playing games.”

No word whether the local VFW hall will hold a Republican Talking Point Bingo night anytime soon …
