South Carolina: Local Voters Reject Brown’s Supervisor Bid

Rep. Henry Brown (R) lost his runoff for the local government job he had hoped to transition into after retiring from Congress.

In Tuesday’s GOP runoff for Berkeley County supervisor, Brown pulled in
44 percent of the vote. He lost to incumbent Dan Davis, who was the choice of 56 percent of the Republicans who voted.

The two went to a runoff after a close primary, which Davis led by just three votes. Davis has no Democratic opponent in November.
