NRSC Raises $8.3 Million in September

The National Republican Senatorial Committee raised $8.3 million in September, its largest monthly take in six years, the committee announced Friday.

The NRSC spent $13.6 million last month and had $19.2 million on hand as of Sept. 30. The committee has raised a total of $86.4 million this cycle, according to figures it provided.

“As we move into the final weeks before the November election, it’s clear that Senate Republicans will have the resources to win a range of key races across the country,” NRSC Executive Director Rob Jesmer said in a statement.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee announced earlier Friday that it raised $15.5 million in September, leaving it with $25.6 million on hand. The DSCC’s fundraising has totaled more than $101 million this cycle.

“While we’ve always expected to be outraised and outspent by the Democrats, the reality is that they’ve now been forced to abandon a number of their candidates on the campaign battlefield, including Robin Carnahan in Missouri just this week, and have assumed an almost purely defensive posture,” Jesmer said.
