HOH’s One-Minute Recess: The DSCC Has a Few Costumes in Mind for Republicans

With Halloween and Election Day right around the corner, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has come up with a few costume suggestions for Republican Senate candidates.

“These candidates are so scary, they’re going to need dramatic costumes to mask their agendas,” DSCC Communications Director Eric Schultz says.

As you can imagine, they’re not the most flattering outfits.

The committee suggests Alaskan Joe Miller dress up as the First Amendment, in honor of the incident in which he had a journalist arrested by his security detail earlier this month. The DSCC proposes Miller’s GOP opponent, write-in candidate Sen. Lisa Murkowski, spend the holiday dressed as sour grapes.

Candidates from Alaska aren’t the only ones who get slammed. The DSCC also pitches the idea of Rep. Mark Kirk, the Illinois Senate candidate, celebrating Halloween dressed as a lie detector test. As you may remember, Kirk made a few misstatements about his military record earlier this year.
