Her big sister is keeping quiet about her engagement, but Rep. Linda Sánchez admits she has a date to the prom.

An HOH spy eyed the California Democrat holding hands with Rep. Sander Levin (D-Mich.) near the House floor Wednesday afternoon. The pair aren’t an item, of course — Sanchez is happily married to public relations consultant Jim Sullivan, after all.

A Sanchez spokesman says Levin had come to talk to the Congresswoman about work-related things, but she was in conversation with another Member. But Sanchez didn’t want Levin to walk away, either, so she grabbed his hand.

Sanchez later joked that Levin had asked her to the prom, her spokesman says.
