Rep. David Wu (Ore.) is planning to offer a resolution at the Democratic Caucus meeting Tuesday evening that would extend unemployment insurance benefits for two years.

“The Democratic Caucus shall vote to consider a bill in the House where the extension date of all Bush tax cuts is equal to the extension of Unemployment Insurance Benefit,” the resolution reads. “The Democratic Caucus opposes legislation that extends the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest two percent of Americans for longer than it extends much-needed unemployment benefits for middle-class families.”

Wu submitted the resolution Tuesday to Caucus Chairman John Larson (Conn.).

The resolution is the latest wrinkle in the Democratic Caucus’ negotiations over tax cuts. House Democrats voted late last week against bringing up the tax cut deal negotiated by President Barack Obama and Republicans unless changes are made.
