Alaska Republican Joe Miller Gets Speaker’s Contract

Former Senate candidate Joe Miller has signed on with the 21st Century Speakers Bureau and will give a speech March 24 in Montara, Calif., at an event called, “A Night With the Joes” — featuring Miller, Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher and Joe Arpaio, sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz.

The Republican also has upcoming speaking engagements at tea party events in Idaho and Kansas. Running with tea party support against Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R), Miller won the GOP nomination before losing the general election to Murkowski, who became the first Senator in more than a half-century to win a write-in campaign.

Miller could be eyeing the seat of Rep. Don Young (R).
