Heard on the Hill: A Go-Away Party?

Democratic political strategist and CNN talking head Paul Begala is throwing a rooftop happy hour to say an enthusiastic buh-bye to conservative pundit Glenn Beck’s TV show on Fox News Channel.

Begala is co-hosting the June 27 event with David Brock, founder of the liberal media watchdog group Media Matters for America.

“We will be bidding him adieu with a ‘Best of Beck’ screening and discussing what’s next in the fight against right-wing media,” the emailed invitation says.

Brock and Media Matters have frequently blasted Beck, the show and the show’s sponsors. So we’re pretty sure there won’t be too many tears shed at this going-away happy hour.

In April, Fox News Channel announced Beck would “transition off” the network, and his June 30 show will be his last.
