Photo From the Attic: Radio Room

A group of radio news reporters work in their new quarters across the hall from the House chamber in the Capitol. The room was made over for radio press personnel after their leader, Fulton Lewis Jr., almost single-handedly carried on a fight to create a place for them. Not only were House and Senate privileges granted, but full news-gathering status was given to the press at White House and Cabinet events.
