Amodei Launches 2nd TV Ad in Nevada Special (VIDEO)

Former Nevada GOP Chairman Mark Amodei has begun airing a new 30-second TV ad in his bid to win the 2nd district special election.

It’s Amodei’s second ad since being nominated last month, and both ads have focused on the Democrats’ role in increasing the country’s debt. Amodei is running in the Sept. 13 contest against state Treasurer Kate Marshall (D).

“President Obama and Harry Reid have given us more out of control spending, a huge debt and now they’re pushing for job-killing taxes. They just want a blank check,” Amodei says in the ad.

Later, Amodei promises he will “vote to cut taxes and not increase the Obama debt limit.”

The ad is running on network and cable TV stations in the mostly rural district, which includes nearly all of Nevada outside Las Vegas. The district has not elected a Democrat since it was created after the 1980 census.
