Deeply vulnerable Rep. Brad Miller (D), whose North Carolina district will become much more Republican as a result of redistricting, raised just under $94,000 in the second quarter and ended June with $127,000 in cash on hand.

Miller also picked up a new Republican opponent, as the field of challengers vying to take him on — or considering it — continues to grow. The Raleigh News & Observer reports that former U.S. Attorney George Holding, a former aide to Sen. Jesse Helms (R-N.C.) is running in the 13th district.

Tea-party-affiliated businessman Nathan Tabor and Winston-Salem City Councilman Vernon Robinson have declared their intention to run. At least two other candidates are seriously considering a bid for Miller’s seat.
