Congress Matches Lowest Approval Ever

At least there’s one thing Democrats and Republicans can agree on: They don’t like the way Congress is working.

Fourteen percent of Democrats and 14 percent of Republicans approve of Congress, according to a new Gallup poll. Coupled with the 13 percent of independents who approve of the work being done under the Dome, it marks the lowest approval rating recorded among all Americans — 13 percent — as measured by the vaunted polling company. Congress previously hit 13 percent approval in August of this year and in December 2010.
