The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will host 107 candidates from 36 states Wednesday for a day of training and discussion.

The DCCC, coming off a strong quarter of fundraising, hopes those candidates help the party pick up the 25 Republican seats it will take to win back the majority next year.

“Last week House Democrats outraised House Republicans and this week more strong Democratic candidates are stepping forward all across the country — putting the House Republican majority in jeopardy,” DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (N.Y.) said in a statement.

The day will include a reception for the DCCC’s Women LEAD program; policy discussions on economics, job creation and national security; media training with Anita Dunn of SKDKnickerbocker; and a presentation by Israel and Rep. Allyson Schwartz (Pa.), who is chairwoman of the DCCC’s recruitment and candidate services.

The committee highlighted eight of the candidates attending: Iowa’s Christie Vilsack, Indiana’s Brendan Mullen, California’s José Hernández, Wisconsin’s Jamie Wall, North Dakota’s Pam Gulleson, California’s Raul Ruiz, Florida’s Val Demings and Oklahoma’s Rob Wallace.

“From all walks of life, these Democratic candidates are committed to creating jobs, strengthening the middle class, reigniting the American dream, and returning control of the House of Representatives to the American people,” Israel said.
