Obama Group Walking for the Homeless

DC for Obama, a grass-roots group that is not affiliated with President Barack Obama’s campaign, sent an email to supporters soliciting participation in the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon Nov. 19 on the National Mall.

The event raises money to combat homelessness, and this will be the last year that the troubled financial giant will support the cause.

“Will you join other Obama supporters in honoring President Obama’s commitment to service,” DC for Obama founder Adam Barr wrote.
