The Republican National Committee has so far announced coordinated “victory directors” in seven battleground states, with more expected this week.

The directors of the RNC’s Victory program lead the field operations for voter contact and get-out-the-vote efforts in each state. The committee currently has directors in place in Colorado, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

They include Josh Daniels in Colorado, Lane Koch in Missouri, Kristin Vieira in Nevada, Mike Rusher in North Carolina, Mike Bir in Ohio, Peter Towey in Pennsylvania and Dave Rexrode in Virginia.

Daniels, who served as a field director on Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s 2010 campaign, is joined in Colorado by Hispanic Outreach Director Lizbeth Norris-Cohen and Communications Director Ellie Wallace. In Missouri, Koch, who worked on the coordinated effort in 2008, most recently served as political director at influence management firm Pelopidas.

Vieira is joined in Nevada by Communications Director Darren Littell, who previously served as the RNC’s western regional press secretary and communications director for Nevada Rep. Joe Heck. In North Carolina, Rusher, a Wilmington, N.C.,  native, was a volunteer coordinator in the state in 2008. In Ohio, Bir has served as the state party’s victory director since December 2010 after leading the RNC’s victory efforts during the 2010 cycle.

Towey, the new Pennsylvania victory director, served as political director on Sen. Pat Toomey’s 2010 campaign in that state. And in Virginia, Rexrode will serve dual roles as both the victory director and state GOP executive director.

Hamburger’s Helper

Sarah McCreary has joined the Hamburger Co., a Democratic political and media consulting firm, as communications director.

McCreary, who most recently held the same position at the National Association of State Foresters, was brought on to round out the firm’s branding, message development and web strategy efforts. McCreary has worked on campaigns, ballot initiatives and media relations for health care and conservation.

“Sarah’s expertise on branding and positioning, message development and new media strategies adds a significant new benefit to the already robust services we provide,” said Martin Hamburger, the firm’s founder and president. “Her input will help take our clients’ messaging to the next level by helping us produce not only great ads, but also multifaceted communications for the three screens world.”

Promotions on the Stoop

Front Porch Strategies recently promoted two key figures at the Columbus, Ohio-based voter-contact and constituent-communication Republican consulting firm.

CEO Matt Parker announced that PJ Wenzel is now president of the firm. Wenzel will immediately assume day-to-day responsibilities of the firm, while Parker will continue to manage the firm’s business and long-term decisions.

“PJ not only provides top-level strategic advice to our clients, but he is a humble and effective leader of our team,” Parker said in a statement.

Parker also announced that Brian Osborne was named chief operating officer, taking a more active role in providing strategic advice to clients.

“Brian has grown into one of the nation’s top voter contact strategists, and his organizational and management skills are second to none,” Parker said.

Bustos Bustos Golly

Democrat Cheri Bustos, who is taking on freshman Rep. Bobby Schilling (R-Ill.), hired Allison Jaslow as her new campaign manager.

According to a report in the Quad City Times, Jaslow replaced Matt Larson, who led Bustos’ primary campaign before leaving by mutual consent. Jaslow left her gig as press secretary for Rep. Howard Berman (D-Calif.) to lead the Bustos campaign going forward in Illinois’ 17th district, a top pickup opportunity for Democrats.

Jaslow is an experienced campaign operative. The Virginia native has plenty of Midwest experience, including in Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. The Iraq War veteran has also served as communications director for the Virginia Democratic Party and worked last year in the office of Sen. Jim Webb (Va.) before leaving for Berman’s office in January. She previously held stints at EMILY’s List and as a special assistant to the White House communications director.
