The U.S. Secret Service has paid the Romney for President Inc. committee $1,334,883 in the first quarter of 2013 for expenses related to the Secret Service previously incurred by the campaign. This may include travel on the campaign’s chartered jet, and other expenses.

The committee also received payments from many media organizations to cover expenses incurred on their behalf by the campaign. The Washington Post paid almost $29,000 and the Associated Press paid more than $50,000.

The committee reported first-quarter receipts of $2,214,214 from refunds, rebates and reimbursements, such as mentioned above. The Committee paid $825,000 in January to FLS Connect LLC (MN) for previous telemarketing and data management services. The committee paid Patton Boggs $51,285 for legal consulting. The committee had disbursements of $1,725,469 and is left with $870,021 cash on hand as of 3/31, and no debts.
