Bradley Byrne Far Outraises Young in Alabama Primary Runoff

In a runoff election of the special primary in Alabama, it looks like money will be the primary factor for the winner.

Young reported he had receipts of $83,833 and disbursements of $73,940 from 9/5 to 10/16, leaving $33,228 cash on hand as of 10/16, with debts of $99,500. This period covered some of the time before and after the 9/24 primary election. Young loaned his committee $35,000. The committee spent $28,152 on television political advertising. He collected $40,458 from itemized contributors after the primary.

The winner of the runoff will face Democrat Burton LeFlore in a general election on December 17th.
