Reid: Loretta Lynch Will be Attorney General

With the Senate set to continue sitting on Loretta Lynch’s nomination to be attorney general, Minority Leader Harry Reid affirmed at his weekly news conference Tuesday that she would be confirmed to head the Justice Department.

“Loretta Lynch will get confirmed,” Reid said. “We’re not going to let this one be held up, and we have ways of handling this.”

Republicans and Democrats are at odds over an abortion rider in a human trafficking bill, which Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday said would be considered before Lynch’s nomination is taken up on the Senate floor.
