Boehner Says Goodbye to Longtime Aide

Speaker John A. Boehner said goodbye to his longtime Press Secretary Michael Steel at his weekly news conference Thursday, thanking him “for a job well done.”

“Today is the last press conference that my press aide, Mr. Michael Steel, will join me at as he departs the Capitol after spending many years working in my office,” Boehner said. “I want to wish him — say thanks for a job well done and good luck.”

Steel is leaving Boehner to be an adviser to a Jeb Bush political action committee.
