Thai-U.S. Military Exercise Begins

The Bangkok Post reports that “a joint military exercise of the Thai and United States armies, codenamed Hanuman Guardian 2016, will be held from June 27 to July 8 in Saraburi and Lop Buri provinces, army deputy spokeswoman Col Sirichan Ngathong said on Sunday.”  

“Col Sirichan said the joint exercise signifies good relations and cooperation between the Thai and US armies.”  

“The exercise is intended for the two armies to exchange experiences in tactical operations with emphasis on maintenance of security, disaster relief and peace-keeping.”
