Cantor, Scott Will Appear at ‘Civil’ Forum on Health Care

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.) will appear jointly at a public forum to discuss health care reform in Richmond, Va., early next week.

Cantor and Scott, who both represent parts of the Richmond area, will offer their differing views on health care reform during the “public square— meeting and then open up to the audience for questions, according to a release from event sponsor the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “This will be a civil conversation and an opportunity to learn about the latest efforts in Congress from two men with a deep knowledge of the issue who are playing important roles in the national debate,— the release said.

The event will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the newspaper’s downtown offices located at 300 E. Franklin St. in Richmond.

Tom Silvestri, the Times-Dispatch president and publisher, will moderate the forum.
