Days before the mid-terms, he fomented fears of a caravan heading to the United States creating hysteria saying "look at what is marching up, that is an invasion an invasion". He asserted that immigrants would "carve you up with a knife." More recently, he called a major American urban center a "disgusting rat and rodent infested mess" that "no human being" would choose to live in as though the vibrant, diverse community around Baltimore were somehow less than human.
