Josh Peck, a co-founder of Get America Covered, which supports the health care law, projected in an analysis Thursday that total enrollment through HealthCare.gov would fall by 800,000 people.

More than 8.8 million Americans signed up for 2017 insurance coverage through HealthCare.gov as of Jan. 14, 2017, about 100,000 more than over a similar time frame last year.
The total includes 8.7 million who signed up through HealthCare.gov and 2.8 million who enrolled through state-based marketplaces.
