Cook files suit against Trump to keep Fed board seat

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell was also named as a defendant in Fed Governor Lisa Cook's lawsuit to prevent President Donald Trump from firing her from the board. The suit included Powell and the board as defendants to stop them from carrying out Trump's action. The Fed said Tuesday it is standing by Cook.
