Debbie Lesko won the special election in Arizona’s deep red 8th District Tuesday night — but only by 6 points in a district President Donald Trump carried by 21 points in 2016.
“Frankly, I never planned on serving, voters permitting, more than 5 or 6 terms in the US Congress,” Dent said. “I’m now serving my seventh term.”
He secured the GOP nod by less than 6 points in 2014. But two years later, he easily dispatched two primary challengers.
