The president did not formally kick off his re-election bid Wednesday, but he continued efforts to put key pieces in place.
However, because he had just been defeated for re-election, the lame-duck Congress decided to defer to the next president — Democrat Franklin Roosevelt. The House rejected all 11 orders.
Why would someone who is happily compared to Washington, Lincoln and FDR, now vie for the crown of a three-time presidential loser?
