The Congressional Leadership Fund, the GOP super PAC backed by House leadership, made a late $50,000 investment in live calls targeting low-turnout GOP voters.
The conservative Club for Growth also congratulated Norman, whom their political action committee and super PAC supported with more than $860,000 in independent expenditures.
Its affiliated super PAC will begin an ad campaign for him on Wednesday. Norman faces off against Tommy Pope, the state House speaker pro tempore, in Tuesday’s GOP runoff.
As the more establishment Republican in the race, Pope has benefited from outside spending from a super PAC called Hometown Freedom Action Network.
The super PAC tied to House GOP leadership is already spending on television ads in both Georgia and Montana to attack Democratic candidates.
“There’s not necessarily direct correlation between our PAC support and caucus membership,” he said.
