Bankman-Fried donated $50,000 to a joint fundraising committee serving Thompson’s campaign, leadership PAC and the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried gave $2,900 to Durbin’s campaign and $5,000 to his leadership PAC in March, a fact that Durbin said he was unaware of until asked about it by a reporter outside the hearing
