When the Washington Nationals’ pitcher Max Scherzer and his wife wanted a tour of the Capitol, they called up their good friends: John McCain and Jeff Flake. The baseball player and Erica May-Scherzer live in Arizona for part of the year and met up with the state’s Senators for lunch followed by a tour. His Major League Baseball debut, in 2008, was for the Arizona Diamondbacks. On the visit, he tweeted a photograph from the Speaker’s Balcony with McCain and Flake. Perks of living in Arizona..
