Case Turns Blue. Rep. Ed Case (D-Hawaii) became the 37th member of the conservative Democratic Blue Dog Coalition last week.

Case came to Congress in November to complete the late Rep. Patsy Mink’s term (D-Hawaii). He won a second special election Jan. 4 to fill the full two-year term.

“Representative Ed Case will join the Blue Dogs in continuing to advocate common-sense policies that place a priority on getting our fiscal house in order and paying down the burdensome national debt,” stated Rep. Jim Turner (D-Texas), Blue Dog co-chairman for administration.

Founding members include Reps. Phil English (R-Pa.), Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.), John Tanner (D-Tenn.) and Chris John (D-La.).
